Large IP55 Waterproof Enclosure

A high-quality splashproof enclosure that can be used with our 10A Basic Switch, 16A Basic Switch, Pool Pump Switch or the single, dual or quad relay / Inching Relay PC Board. The environmental rating of the enclosure is IP56.

Note: This enclosure contains 10x stepped ‘break out’ points for electrical entry glands. (confirm your desired location and the size of your glands before removing).

Understanding the enclosure ratings

The rating of an enclosure refers to its Ingress Protection. This system, defined by the international standard IEC 60529, classifies the degree of protection provided by enclosures against the intrusion of dust, water, and other foreign objects.

An IP rating is typically represented by two digits:

• First Digit: indicates the level of protection against solid objects like dust or dirt.
• Second Digit: Indicates the level of protection against water.

Note: the higher the number, the better protection it is in its environment.
