Installation guidelines by gas type

The Smart Gas Leakage Detector is a direct wall-plug device. For accurate detection, its height relative to the floor or ceiling depends strictly on the type of gas being monitored:

• Natural gas or Methane (lighter than air): install the detector 0.3m to 1.0m below the ceiling, and within a 1.5m radius of the gas source.
• LPG or Propane or Butane (heavier than air): Install the detector 0.3m to 1.0m above the floor, as leaking gas will sink and pool at ground level.
